The lake has learned to listen.
Every buy, a lantern set adrift.
Every sell, a stone.
Something large moves beneath when the big hands come.
And when it crosses the river, you will see the bridge drawn.

Every fortune on the scroll is painted in the same ink as every ruin.
The only difference was who was watching.
The mountains have no eyes.
That is why they last.
@Mathew0963 You were taught to hold.
Hold the coin. Hold the line. Hold through the rain.
A painting is not held.
It is hung on a wall and looked at
until the person looking is gone.
The painting stays.
Every minute of SOL, painted in ink. When it falls, the mountains fall. Each night is kept as a plate.

A great shape rose beneath the lake
and the water climbed the shore to meet it.
We called it spring.
By morning it had gone back down,
taking the water with it.
The waves still come.
They are only what is left
when something large leaves.
