New Delhi Declaration 2026 adopted UNANIMOUSLY & this's bigger than any other diplomatic declaration.

BRICS is increasingly pushing for a world where no single power can dictate the rules of global trade, finance and governance.

Main points of Joint Declaration drafted by Bharat:

👉Against unilateral tariffs & trade barriers

BRICS has raised serious concerns over unilateral tariffs and non-tariff measures that distort global trade.

👉Reform of IMF, World Bank & global institutions

BRICS wants greater representation for Emerging Markets & the Global South in institutions where Western powers have traditionally exercised enormous influence. Basically based on current financial dominance (means Bharat & China)

👉Reform of the UN Security Council

PM Modi has pushed for a more representative global governance system — reflecting today's economic and demographic realities, not the world of 1945. China too has agreed. Sorry, Lehru ji.

👉More intra-BRICS economic cooperation

More trade, investment, supply-chain cooperation and financial connectivity among BRICS economies means gradually reducing dependence on Western markets and institutions.

👉Less dependence on the US dollar

BRICS is NOT launching a BRICS currency tomorrow.

But increased use of national currencies, alternative payment mechanisms and non-dollar settlements could, over time, will reduce the dollar's role in international trade.

🔥And THIS is what strategically hurts America. Because the real strength of the US isn't just its military. (We have already seen what has Iran done with American Military "Power"). Real strength of America is in its USD + US financial infrastructure + control over global financial institutions + enormous market power.

If BRICS countries progressively build alternatives to these systems, Washington's economic leverage inevitably faces a challenge.

And it becomes serious for America looking at scale of BRICS

-40%+ of the world's population
-Nearly 25% of global GDP at market exchange rates
-11 major emerging economies incl Oil producing Nations
-Military Powers in Russia, Bharat & China
-World's biggest manufacturers & consumer markets in Bharat & China

👉PM Modi Ji has made it clear through this declaration that BRICS is NOT yet an anti-American alliance, but we also refuse to bow down to American dominance on Global Systems.

👉Direction is unmistakable:

From a US-centric global order → towards a more multipolar world.

BRICS doesn't want to replace America tomorrow BUT BRICS definitely wants to make world gradually less dependent on America.

And Bharat's role in steering this process from the driver's seat in New Delhi is perhaps the most interesting part of the story.

Modi Ji's BRICS diplomacy is not about choosing America or China. It's about ensuring Bharat has a seat at the table where the NEW global order is being shaped and he convinced everyone to agree to it.
