Last week we met IETI plumbing and electrical trainees who had not been paid their stipends for 3 months.

We gave Construction SETA 7 days to resolve the crisis.

Today ALL IETI invoices have been paid (image attached), and stipends to be processed to all trainees with BACK PAY!

The EFF does not make promises, it makes commitments.

Perhaps, we should make a call to all Training Centres in the country who are facing the same challenges with SETAs, so that we can ensure no young person is denied their stipend, forced out of training, or robbed of their future because of bureaucratic incompetence.

Worse, the Administrator signs off his own salary of R 3 Million without any approval.

I still do not understand, even after many explanations, why @MmusiMaimane, @SongezoZibi, and some in the @MYANC did not support the proposed amendment to the fiscal framework by the @EFFSouthAfrica to allocate an additional R4 billion to SARS for the 2026/2027 financial year in @ParliamentofRSA.

We could have disagreed on many things, but this should have been well within Parliament’s powers to process with ease.

@Action4SA, I can somewhat appreciate their challenges in navigating the debate, but the rest?

Perhaps the responsible committees together with Parliamentary Budget Office and @Fiscal_Comm_RSA must start now to prepare adjustment allocation in Oct/Nov 2026 Medium Term Budget Polivy Statement. We know it will not come from the @Treasury_RSA.
