When you love deep, you love with intention. The adult in me is always willing to communicate, grow, and work through things. But I’ve learned that growth only works when it’s mutual. Not everyone is mature enough to handle a love that’s real, accountable, and intentional.
What hurts most is that I finally let my guard down. I expressed myself freely, loved out loud, and genuinely wanted something healthy to grow. I was ready to build, not play. Being met with betrayal instead of reciprocity changed me — not into someone bitter, but into someone wiser and more aware of what I truly deserve.
