@rodgerhudson7 While I will not argue against the data of violent crime being up nominally in the last few years, I would argue that on a per capita basis we have seen a significant drop in crime nationally since the early 90s. Per capita data is more significant than any nominal data.

@rodgerhudson7 The act of carrying/owning a firearm though isn’t a motive to commit a crime. Theft, assault, murder, we need to address the motives to crime. i.e. job training, decriminalization, rehabilitation, deterrence, police/DA accountability, racial inequality under the law etc.
