At one point this month there were 19 wildfires raging in England & Wales. Firefighters said cuts from 2010 was one reason they were struggling. The wildfire at Tintwistle is *still* burning after five weeks. A wildfire in Suffolk is raging close to a nuclear power plant.

The BBC hasn't politicised any aspect of these wildfires. Why did it politicise the Cairngorms wildfire?

Radio BritNat Breakfast interviewed someone from Ofcom Scotland this morning who was praising the BBC. The Ofcom guy said one of the best things about the BBC was coverage of live sport. The Commonwealth Games is taking part less than a mile away. Nobody mentioned it.

The politicisation of the Cairngorms wildfire by BBC Scotland coincided with the station dropping the Sarwar resignation & peerage row from its flagship Sunday politics programme. The station needed something to deflect from Sarwar as he was damaging Scottish Labour.
