Led by our patriarch, Mzee Wamboka Senior, we continue to receive relatives, friends, leaders and mourners who continue to stream to our Nangata village home to offer condolences following the passing of our elder brother, Erick Juma Wamboka.
As burial preparations continue, we express gratitude for the overwhelming solidarity, prayers and messages of comfort received during this difficult period as we prepare to give our beloved brother a befitting farewell.
Joined stakeholders at the Kakamega Forest in Lwaningu Forest Block, Lurambi Sub-County, to mark this year's World Rainforest Day under the theme, “The Forest Within You.”
The event was graced by Kenya's Permanent Representative to UNEP, Mama Dr. @IdaOdinga
as our Chief Guest and Environment CS Dr. Deborah Mulongo Barasa.
As Kenya's only tropical rainforest, Kakamega Forest is a vital ecological asset that must be protected and restored. Efforts underway by my administration and our partners include; fencing of the forest, establishing indigenous tree nurseries, supporting surrounding communities with free beehives, and advancing other reforestation initiatives.
Together, let us rally behind Kenya's goal of planting 15 billion trees by 2032 and safeguard Kakamega Forest for future generations.
He was everything to everyone and this propelled him and the Labour Party into power with a historic majority in parliament.
Then he had to make hard decisions and he no longer was everything to everyone.

Consultations with Kuria West elders, tapping words of wisdom with a view to shaping the socio-economic and political landscape of the region.
Hats off my two brothers; Hon. Mathias Robi (MP Kuria West) and Hon. Kitayama Marwa (MP Kuria East) for co-hosting the event.
Happy to meet my son, Hon. Cleophas Malala. We agreed to promote peace and unity as the heartbeat of development of our great County, Kakamega.
Political differences should never divide us or undermine the harmony that our people have worked so hard to build. We must reject violence, intolerance, and division, and instead embrace dialogue, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence.
The dream we shared for Kakamega is still alive even as we pursue different pathways. We believe that our County should be peaceful, prosperous, and full of opportunity for future generations.

Later this evening, hosted by area MP Hon. Fred Ikana and accompanied by a host of leaders including Presidential aide Mr. Farouk Kibet I led a fundraiser to support widows in an empowerment programme at Isukha East Ward, Shinyalu Constituency.
Empowering Widows advances their financial independence and restoring their dignity enabling them raise their children and effectively contribute towards nation building.
I called on the residents to support the President’s second term bid while also urging them to disown leaders spreading hate and divisions.
I assured the President of the western region support listing developments made under his administration and which were transforming the lives of the people including health reforms, infrastructure development, enhanced access to agricultural inputs and the employment of leaders in key positions.

History has been made in Nyandarua County.
The Government has officially opened the new Nyandarua Lands Office in Ol Kalou and issued more than 2,700 title deeds, bringing to an end over six decades of land service challenges that have affected residents across the county.
For the first time, the people of Nyandarua can access essential land services closer to home, enhancing efficiency, reducing the cost and time of accessing services, and securing land ownership for thousands of families. This milestone will unlock greater opportunities for investment, economic empowerment, and sustainable growth across the county.
Some moments in life leave a mark on your heart that you will not forget. Today was one of those days.
In Kaptik, Tiriki East, Vihiga County, I joined the community of Kaptik Secondary School to stand with them after the tragic loss of a student and a boda boda rider who lost their lives in a road accident.
Together with Emuhaya MP Hon. Omboko Milemba and other local leaders, we condoled with the families, teachers, students and friends of the beautiful souls we lost. I extended my words of encouragement, as well as my support towards clearing hospital bills for the injured students still receiving treatment.
Unity is crucial in moments like these. So let's always show love and support to people who need it, and let's keep those still recovering in our thoughts and prayers.
To the souls of the departed, may God grant you eternal peace.

Our grassroots footprint continues to expand across the country as we strengthen the Party’s presence and accessibility to wananchi at the local level.
In Hamisi Constituency, Vihiga County, we officially launched three new UDA Party offices in Tiriki West, Tiriki East, and Tiriki Central, further enhancing service delivery and engagement with our growing membership.
As the largest political party in Kenya, both in membership and representation across various organs of governance, we remain committed to bringing Party services closer to the people and deepening grassroots participation.
The establishment of these offices follows the successful UDA Grassroots Elections, which saw the election of twenty (20) officials in each of the 627 Polling Centres across Vihiga County.
This robust grassroots structure has significantly boosted branch activities and mobilization efforts as we prepare for the 2027 General Elections.
The exercise was led by UDA Deputy Secretary General and Emuhaya MP, Hon. Omboko Milemba, alongside Hamisi Constituency MP, Hon. Charles Gimose.
Also present were Principal Secretary for Public Service, Jane Imbunya, UDA Director for Devolution and County Affairs, Omulo Junior, Director of Women Affairs, Training and Civic Education, Margaret Ndanyi, and other Party officials.
Together, we are building a stronger, more inclusive, and people-centered Party from the grassroots upwards.

For three months, we crossed 43 counties. We did not go to talk, we went to listen.
What we heard was clear: Kenyans are tired of broken promises, tired of corruption eating their future, tired of watching their children leave the country to find work that should exist here at home.
This is the voice of the Nation. Watch, and let us take this country back together.

In a significant step toward a more sustainable future, I held engagements with Ambassador Dr. Ida Betty Odinga, Kenya’s Permanent Representative to UNEP, in a high-level consultative session to chart a transformative path for our green agenda. Our discussions centered on accelerating H.E. President William Samoei Ruto’s ambitious 15 Billion Trees initiative through a bold, multi-pronged strategy.
At the core of this vision is the empowerment of women, who remain the backbone of community-based conservation. By mobilizing women’s networks, we aim to institutionalize sustainable land use from household tree growing to large-scale forest restoration. We are also advancing an innovative economic approach by promoting high-value trees such as mnazi, korosho, and medicinal species like mwarubaini. These will not only restore ecosystems but also create income opportunities through value addition and export.
Equally important is engaging our children. In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, we are integrating tree growing into learning to nurture a lifelong culture of environmental stewardship.
We reaffirmed our commitment to strengthening enforcement against illegal logging and unsustainable charcoal practices, while leveraging conservation as a tool for peacebuilding and shared prosperity across communities.
As we approach Mazingira Day, we call on all Kenyans to join us in this national mission.

CHANGE OF GUARD: New GSU Commandant Takes Over at Ruaraka
The General Service Unit (GSU) today marked a significant milestone in leadership continuity with a colorful change-of-command ceremony at the GSU Headquarters in Ruaraka.
The incoming Commandant, Johana Kiplagat Tonui (Assistant Inspector General of Police), officially took over the reins of the elite paramilitary formation from the outgoing Commandant, Ranson Lolmodoni (Senior Assistant Inspector Generalof Police).
For Commandant Tonui, this appointment marks a profound homecoming, returning to lead the premier unit where he first started his career as a police recruit.
As the Kenya Police Service, we congratulate him and wish him all the best as he guides the formation forward.
