EP BTS: Deciding to make an EP brought back an old concept—escaping a pixel world into 3D. It grew into a two-part narrative: Part 1: The Escape Attempt Part 2: After the Escape 'Inside the Dots' is that first chapter.

I took the photo at a local stream, and Sam, who worked on the 'Inside the Dots' artwork, handled the editing. I wanted to move away from the kitschy pixel art of my previous singles and try a more serious, photo-based visual direction.

But when I brought up the single release to a label I was in talks with, they suggested: "Why not add a few more tracks and make it an EP instead?"

And just like that, the sudden journey into making an EP began.
