@AvantiWestCoast I am having trouble making a delay repay claim on your site for the cancelled 16:52 from Stafford to London Euston, the 2nd time this has happened on consecutive days. The site tells me that ‘no journeys are found between 16:37 & 17:09’which is obvious as the train was cancelled

What people won't realise is the barristers will have submitted written arguments in respect of every point the judge addressed. Then they will have had a day in court making oral submissions. The total fee for that is £126.
Which is one reason we are striking.
Those attending gatherings outside of the Central Criminal Court, Birmingham Crown Court, Manchester Crown Court, Crown Square, Leeds Crown Court, Bristol Crown Court and Cardiff Crown Court on 27.06.2022 should attend in robes if possible. What is crucial is that you are there.
Let’s pray the Government listens. The return of a strengthened Courts’ Inspectorate is desperately needed for a dysfunctional justice system that continues to fail almost all those who come into contact with it.
If £64.95 per day is considered adequate payment for jurors deciding the most serious criminal cases in our justice system, it should be adequate for the politicians who set those rates.
