Five years later, we’re back in the same place, taking another picture. Some faces are missing, while new ones have joined us. Time changes, but the memories remain.

Today is a proud and meaningful day for women in Ethiopia.
Nine women have been appointed among the 22 federal ministers, taking on some of the country’s key responsibilities.

this is just the Cabinet. We haven’t even reached the other government institutions yet.

For us as women, this means a lot. It shows that women belong at every level of leadership and that our voices, skills and contributions matter. I’m proud to see more women being trusted with important responsibilities, and I hope this inspires many more young women and girls to believe in themselves.

May Allah guide them, strengthen them and bless their service to our country and our people.

Somali representation in both Houses of Parliament and the House of Federation.

It was an honor to meet with our leaders representing the Somali Region in the House of Federation, led by H.E. President Mustafe Omer, along with Hon. Mubashir Dibad Raage, Speaker of the Somali Regional State Parliament.

We congratulated them on their renewed mandates and wished them success in their responsibilities. May Allah guide them, give them wisdom, and bless their service to our people

Today, we were sworn in as members of the 7th Parliament as we opened our first session. It is an honour to begin this new chapter of serving our people with commitment and responsibility 🇪🇹

The newly appointed Somali Regional State cabinet includes seven women in executive positions, in addition to a woman serving as Deputy Speaker. This is even before the appointments of deputy ministers and agency heads.

Congratulations to all the newly appointed officials. These women represent the entire community, not any particular clan. Their representation is an important step toward more inclusive and representative leadership.

Wishing all the newly appointed ministers and officials success as they take on these important responsibilities.
