@RibbleCycles I have been very saddened by the Ribble experience and have been genuinely affected by the financial loss it took to return the unusable frame I was shipped earlier this year. I am reaching out with patience and understanding in the hopes that I can get my problem resolved.
@RibbleCycles I am requesting info on a refund for the shipping of a returned, faulty frameset. My order number is #145369751 and I have emailed Ribble proof of purchase and a copy of the email guaranteeing the refund.
@tonnjp96 Q8 my overall goal would be for students to have fun problem solving and learn to take risks when tinkering and answering questions #wemake19
@tonnjp96 Q7: To be honest, I haven't gotten my hands on my school's technology vision. I do know that a Maker Day would support the Math Data Inquiry Team's goal to promote problem solving and critical thinking in A1, GEO and A2. #wemake19
@mcgill206@MrJarrell22 I like your comment about staff support! In my maker day plan, I wrote about talking with my colleagues to see their thoughts on tinkering and problem solving activities in their content area to make sure everyone has a role in it's creation #wemake19
@MrJarrell22 Q6: I would love to create an all-day or half-day event that required students to work with people they don't usually work with! In my A2 class, I have a mixed grade roster and I see the benefits of having upperclassmen work with underclassmen (for both groups!) #wemake19
@tonnjp96 Q5: My district could provide minimal funding and much of the projects we create would have to be low- to no-cost activities. I think there are ways to make problem solving accessible and affordable using recycled or repurposed everyday materials #wemake19
@MrJarrell22 Q4: I would like to incorporate folks from every content area in my school! Often times, we think of tinkering and problem solving as a STEAM-related skill, but students need to think critically across the educational landscape. I think my horizontal-team could 1/2 #wemake19
@msharvanhistor1@tonnjp96 Tech rooms sound great! Asking folks to bring accessible supplies could create a fun sense of ownership in their work too. #wemake19
@tonnjp96 Q3: I think the biggest and most valuable resource my school could provide is time and participation. I'm sure my coworkers (certainly in the math dept!!) would be motivated to promote critical thinking by creating a co-curricular day of problem solving #wemake19
@MrJarrell22 Q2: My school supports our efforts in STEAM, problem solving and the growth mindset. We have worked alongside students to become critical thinkers and overcome academic and real-world problems! I don't think we've seen "making" like what we have worked on this semester! #wemake19
@tonnjp96 Q1: NYC only got a bit of a slushy dusting! I spent a bit of it at work, a bit of it in traffic, and a bit of it holed up in the apartment! #wemake19
#wemake19 Hey all! Looking forward to our chat tonight. With parent teacher conferences last Tuesday before the break, I missed out on the maker chat.
Is there a written description anywhere for our final maker project for EDUC 587?
