Dear Grandma,
I miss you. We miss you. I wish we could be with you again.
But, today we did something good. We fought back.
We raised $503,254 for the CDC Foundation to help fight coronavirus.
I love you. I know you see what we accomplished. Thank you everyone.

@MrJarrell22 Q10: To create a Makerspace event that students can enjoy and be introduced to, as well as making a push to include more time for Makerspaces in schools. #wemake19
@MrJarrell22 Q8: Heck yea! I think it would be great for parents/community to see what children do in schools. Makerspaces are all-age-friendly! Letting adults engage with these hands on experiences makes it more meaningful. #wemake19
@tonnjp96 Q7: I think that Maker Day does support this vision from my school. Throughout the plan, they state how technology needs to be implemented to benefit teachers and students, while creating real world hands on experiences. #wemake19
@tonnjp96 Q7: "Students using technology tools collaboratively to discover what the underlying questions are, connect them real world issues, engage them, and support them as they “figure things out for the themselves”, is at the core of meaningful technology integration!” ^ the tech plan!
@cudds00@MrJarrell22 IMO I don't think a lot of people would come to the first event, hence opening it to many. But I do see that narrowing it down to grade level would be more ideal! #wemake19
@tonnjp96 Q5: With proper presentation and research I think they could! If not, a lot of the clubs in my school host bake sales, car washes, fundraisers at local eateries, etc. I don't think we would need a lot of $ since materials are cheap and accessible. #wemake19
@MrJarrell22 Q4: I would definitely get other educators involved, like department chairs. Maybe each can have their own station and attendees can make projects relating to a certain subject. Shows how Makerspaces can pertain to subjects. Most definitely the technology teachers too! #wemake19
@tonnjp96 Q3: The space! We have a few large rooms to host an event. In our Technology room there are a lot of tools students (and their families) can use. I would advise attendees to bring materials like cardboard, etc. #wemake19
@MrJarrell22 Q2: My district hasn't specifically listed that they support one, but I know how open they are to new ideas! I think with proper research and evidence they would like to see one implemented! #wemake19
@TaylorDeMarco2 q10: Finding methods to create a more inclusive Makerspace/Classroom! Even in schools where there isn't much diversity, many students have different beliefs, likes, and dislikes. We have to find a way to reach all students and allow their creative minds to take control! #wemake19
@cudds00 Q9: Let students to take control of their creativity lets them put their own spin onto projects. Whether they reflect their cultural, gender, etc. Seeing what others create influences empathy from others! Suppressing creativity allows students to be intolerant of others #wemake19
@mcgill206 Q8: I believe by bringing in household items! Hopefully everyone has toilet/paper towel rolls lying around. Or even milk cartons! This allows everyone to participate in the making and design process! #wemake19
