Thank you @erinlapolla1 and @mcgill206 for a great chat, and thank you @ak_leeg for some routine and normalcy! Wishing everyone a fantastic first week back!

@erinlapolla1 Answer 10:
That I play a major role in educating the future generation & that should not be taken lightly. There is a lot going on in the world right now that is hard for the students to process - we need to be there for them in more ways than one.

@mcgill206 @erinlapolla1 Answer 9:
I am on the same page as Tabi right now. My main concern right now is what I am doing day-to-day and then making sure that my students are taking care of their mental and emotional well being! I am open to ideas for social justice ideas in a math classroom!

@ak_leeg @erinlapolla1 I guess if we want to get SUPER specific I would say 2a or 2b, but overall I felt like the digital citizen could be a great segue to teaching social justice.

@FurnerAshley My thoughts exactly Ashley! I have a few IEPs and 504s that I am going to have to be really diligent about following. It wasn't easy when we were in school and it is even more of a challenge now to give these students the differentiation that they need!

@mcgill206 Answer 7:
Google classroom is going to be my saving grace! I can organize everything in once place for my students and differentiate assignments! I can offer extra help, resources, videos and links so that they can help themselves all from one place.
#instdes20
@ak_leeg This is a really great thought - I think the consistency and knowing that students are relying on me is helping get me out of bed! So, giving our kids a routine and purpose so that they know we are counting on them will help!

@erinlapolla1 Answer 6:
Again, this is a new district so I don't know, but I think they are doing a pretty good job in terms of creating equal opportunities for all students. I will be able to answer this questions a little better after the first few weeks of school.

@senora_cordero@kerri_pangburn@barley_ellen@mcgill206 I think this is an awesome idea! Honestly, we could all make this a thing in our own instruction and make Wednesdays for review, check ins and some ice breakers since we are all craving that connections!

@mcgill206 Answer 5:
My previous and current district both assigned students one to one Chromebooks and paired with spectrum to bring internet access to homes that otherwise would have been disconnected. Now, everyone can at least sign onto meetings and we will go from there!

@mcgill206 Answer 4:
I am in a new school district this fall so I am not really sure yet, but my previous district I felt like there was not enough staff to cater to the students. The high school alone only had 1 social worker to 2,500 students and many of them were troubled.

@erinlapolla1 Answer 3:
(sorry I lost internet)
I am planning on recording lessons for my students. I feel like I want my students to be able to rewatch a lesson taught by me if they felt like they missed something in the short 30 minute periods I will be trying to teach in!
#instdes20
@kerri_pangburn@randi_b311@mcgill206 I am having the same issue Kerri - I want to be challenging and understanding all at once. I don't want to underestimate what my students are capable of during this time, but I don't want to push too hard either!
#instdes20
@FurnerAshley I love that all students get breakfast, not just the ones who qualify! It makes students less likely to be singled out! My previous district did this too and I thought it was great!
#instdes20
@mcgill206 Answer 1:
Such a good question! I would say deep breathing and yoga! If I am working from home a shower helps too. I just have been making an effort to do something for myself after the work day, but before the graduate work evening.

Question 9:
What type of professional development is currently most needed for teachers in your content and grade level, not necessarily your district at large?
