#instdes20 Everyone have a wonderful evening!
Best of luck to you all who start tomorrow! Deep breaths and give yourself grace! #instdes20
#instdes20 Also be so kind to yourselves. Remember that the students are so glad to see your face and your care! Take what is good from your day and leave the rest! You are doing superhuman things and we all see it!
Good job tonight! I’m glad I got to participate (and make dinner)! #instdes20
Thank you @erinlapolla1 and @mcgill206 for a great chat, and thank you @ak_leeg for some routine and normalcy! Wishing everyone a fantastic first week back!

@erinlapolla1 A10: I would say the biggest takeaway is that we are all in this together. No matter what district or learning style the students are going into, we have each others backs and we will work through this difficult time. #instdes20
@erinlapolla1 A10:How important it is to collaborate with peers on creating socially just classrooms! I have come up with so many new ideas tonight based on my peer's tweets! It was such a great way to expand on my knowledge of teaching for social justice #instdes20
#instdes20 I just want to thank our wonderful hosts and give them a round of applause for this thought provoking discussion!
@Alanna2097 @erinlapolla1 SO TRUE! I have to constantly remind myself of this. #instdes20
@erinlapolla1 A10: I think I'd like to have a journal option open via google form (on my G. Classroom) for those who want to send a private message. Maybe setting them up with the support to do so, would help open a communication?! #instdes20
#instdes20 A9 I am a long-term sub right now so I am not sure how I can bring in Social Justice
@erinlapolla1 Answer 10:
That I play a major role in educating the future generation & that should not be taken lightly. There is a lot going on in the world right now that is hard for the students to process - we need to be there for them in more ways than one.

@mcgill206 & @erinlapolla1 great job this week ! :) Have a great week everyone !! Good luck on your first day back #instdes20
@erinlapolla1 we are always improving as teachers within our classroom and creating an equitable learning space for our students #instdes20
@erinlapolla1 There are more aspects to teaching then people know. It really does take a village and some creative thinking in order to get the job done! #instdes20
@erinlapolla1 A10 Also, for students to have more inclusion and diversity. We have to remember to show different perspectives to our classes. #instdes20
A10 I feel as if our school clearly display social justices, but I think they have the ability to be stronger, but as time goes on schools will integrate more ways #instdes20
@erinlapolla1 A10 not only do we have to worry about our mental healths, but our students as well. We are all human, and even in class breaks might be necessary if things become overwhelming. Even fun activities instead of lectures can go a long way #instdes20
@Alanna2097 @ak_leeg @marilyn_jay @erinlapolla1 This is fabulous! Maybe I'll incorporate something like that for those who need an outlet?! #instdes20
@mcgill206 @erinlapolla1 Answer 9:
I am on the same page as Tabi right now. My main concern right now is what I am doing day-to-day and then making sure that my students are taking care of their mental and emotional well being! I am open to ideas for social justice ideas in a math classroom!
