I am deeply saddened by the loss of OPP Provincial Constable Tarun Bali who was killed in the line of duty earlier today in Hearst Ontario.
As we grieve this tragedy, we remember the extraordinary courage and sense of duty required of those who put on the uniform and serve our province each day.
My deepest condolences are with Constable Bali’s family, loved ones, colleagues, and the entire OPP community during this difficult time.

I was delighted to welcome to my office Professor @SteinJanice. She is the founding Director of the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy and the Belzberg Professor of Conflict Management @UofT@munkschool.
As a young student 40 years ago, I had the incredible opportunity to learn from Professor Stein, and her insight and teachings remain relevant and invaluable today!
Congratulations to Inspector Andrew Goody on his appointment as Deputy Chief of @GuelphPolice! Inspector Goody is a graduate of our #OACP@rotmanschool Police Leadership Program & is currently completing our Certificate in Executive Police Leadership (in partnership with @DeGrooteBiz & @SchulichSchool).
