🚨 Leader of Opposition, Joel Ssenyonyi posted on X on yesterday saying that there is a plan to include his name in the Butambala terrorism case. He said he was told that his name might be added to the terrorism file or another court file. This case relates to post-election violence in Butambala district in January 2026, where Butambala County MP Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi and others are charged with terrorism.

Mr Ssenyonyi believes the move is linked to his fight against corruption and bad governance. He said the case is politically motivated and the accused have denied the charges.
