@floatingwordist@almustawghir Rejecting what comes from the sunnah but affirming Christian tradition
Even weirder given the second coming is where Jesus kills the antichrist (that's kinda the point of his second coming).
@sharghzadeh Reminds me of non-Arabs who, while speaking their native English, affect an ESL cadence and attempt Arabic pronunciation (and fail at it).
It's ok to say "Koran" rather than "Qur’ān"
@eternalbread_ The idea that the Quran is part of the eternal kalaam of God has nothing to do with whether or not it can be revealed in different modes (which the connonical readings are derived from).
@s4ki___ There is no example of a successful independent secular Iraqi or Arab state. We are not a secular people whether you like it or not. And ascribing Islam to Safawi cretins is slanderous. Even if you're atheist you should take pride in the Islamic history of Iraq.
@s4ki___ Secular Arab nationalism was a barnacle on the hull of the Soviet hegemon. It's no fucking wonder it went downhill when the USSR fell.
How about not latching onto a foreign hegemon for power and advancement?
Id take Baghdad under various Islamic dynasties before Baathism.
