The day last week when I found out that this past months of tests show I don’t yet have breast cancer but have to get a lumpectomy because they caught something early and I’m like bitches, I collect scars the way some people collect tattoos so bring it. 🖤
Very sad on the passing of the kind & generous Peter Yarrow who I had pleasure to know during my @whyhunger career. As a middle school teacher I successfully used his renown anti-bullying program, Operation Respect. Sincere condolences to his family. @stubseyak@SteveScottNEWS
Peter Yarrow, of Peter, Paul and Mary fame, has died at age 86.
Peter was a supporter of @whyhunger, and stopped by WCBS Hungerthon in 2017. He was a nice man.
Pres. Jimmy Carter had a life full of dedication to his family, country & many important causes he adopted. A man of peace & justice - a true role model for generations. RIP. 🇺🇸

During my earlier global financial career, I had distinct privilege/honor to meet Amb. Murphy at many events & I share James’ appreciation for his keen imparted insight & esteemed service to the US Dept. of State. 🇺🇸
One of the greats in the Foreign Service. I was part of a delegation he led to Libya in 2007, after he retired from State but was still involved. I recall a small dinner in Sebha. He was gracious and not only had good stories but also good questions.

May we always remember to share the Light with those whom we love & those not so fortunate. ⭐️

Given state of today’s geo-political climate, easy to forget the significance of Berlin Wall’s fall & during past 35 yrs the concept & definition of “Freedom” has indeed changed numerous times. @jpketterer @JackieNenchin1 @janinedigi@bloodsigns@AidanRyan
Today is the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. That means we are as far removed today from 1989 as in 1989 we were from 1954. Quite the thought for those of us who remember it as if it were yesterday.
Fragment of Wall I picked up in Berlin a couple of days later:
“Anyone who writes is a seeker. You look at a blank page and you’re seeking. The role is assigned to us and never removed. I think this is an unbelievable blessing. I mean, to be seventy-eight years old and still looking—this amazes me.” —Louise Glück https://t.co/7hFbfweMUw

RIP, James Earl Jones.
A wonderful, tremendous talent who left us with indelible, powerful & meaningful performances on stage, screen & with his melodious voice. 🎥🎭🎤
Many continue to follow in his pioneering footsteps & stand on his generous, broad shoulders.
Breaking News: James Earl Jones has died at 93. He gave life to characters like Darth Vader in “Star Wars” and Mufasa in “The Lion King,” and went on to collect Tonys, Golden Globes, Emmys and an honorary Oscar for a prodigious body of work. https://t.co/rZjvAJ7deK
RIP, Sergio Mendes, who passed today. His arrangement of Beatles’ “Fool on the Hill” one of best ever covers & introduced Bossa Nova to new audiences. 🇧🇷🪘🎹🎺 @jpketterer@KenDashow@stubseyak
