Only the Police can issue fines for traffic offences like jumping a red light.
The Council issue fines for dangerous and irresponsible parking.

Found some menus from the local Chinese takeaway. 'Only keep the most recent', I thought.

They were printed 14 years apart. Prices had increased by two thirds over that period.

83% of the increase had come in last six years.

@inquisitor111 Is this accurate though? The bus company wasn't publicly owned if it was an employee buy out. Wasn't there a fundamental difference between what happened in Edinburgh (ownership remaining with the Councils) and what happened in Glasgow and Dundee (sold to individuals employees)?
