Scab unions in Bolivia, who initially opposed the general strike against neoliberalism, are now joining it.
They say that they've realised that the only way to end the strike is for the strike to win.
Alrighty, I paid rent, so I'm more or less reintegrated into normal life. That means I am again looking for stable work, and I'm starting to submit applications, etc.
At this point in my life, there is truly not much I haven't done in media and publishing. Pls send me leads, ty
Bolivia's workers unions held a congress yesterday and confirmed that they will not take part in any dialogue or negotiations.
The general strike against neoliberalism continues, the number of barricades erected along highways is now 90, a record breaking number.
Reading How To Sell A Genocide, the NYT called every major population centre in the Gaza Strip a "Hamas stronghold" at some point.
They actively worked to militarise civilians in Gaza to justify genocide
The hunger strikers are Delaney Hall are demanding the following:
1) To meet with the Governor
2) Release medically vulnerable people
3) Release young and elderly detainees
They aren’t striking to demand better conditions & treatment, they’re doing it to demand their freedom
The white supremacist group, The Proud Boys are currently outside Delaney Hall.
ICE and State Troopers will protect them and all three will be violent to those outside in solidarity with detainees. But forward we go.

Indigenous leaders of La Paz, Bolivia: We don't want dialogue or negotiation with those who have our blood on their hands, we'll be at the barricades until the President is gone.
“Don’t Give Up: A Letter From Delaney Hall”
A letter written by detainees inside the ICE detention center Delaney Hall during a work and hunger strike was published two days ago on May 26.
I went to the Delaney Hall ICE facility in Newark NJ.
The detainees are not just on a hunger strike because the food has maggots, people have also died, there have been 2 miscarriages due to denial of medical care.
The detainees are also on a labor strike. The facility doesn’t hire maintenance staff and forces them to maintain the facility for $1 a day. They also sometimes don’t even pay them the dollar.
The Donroe Doctrine is stone-cold colonialism: We invade your country, we elect your governors, and we extract your wealth. Latin America’s long struggle for self-determination is not simply unfinished; it is moving in reverse.
