@kimmonismus Not a surprise. X has already said it will disregard the EU AI Act. They told people they would break the law in advance. If they don't want to obey European law, they can always leave. No one will be stopping them.

@NewtonEmerson The checks will be less onerous, but the red/green infrastructure for customs checks will still be needed. Though I'd guess eventually Britain will be back in the Customs Union too.

@JohnFMauldin What happens when AI/robots can do most jobs, but only cost pennies/hr to employ? Human staffed businesses won't be able to compete with AI/robot staffed businesses. Those days might be sooner than we think.

Maybe if UI were on a Swiss federalist model, power-sharing could continue in the north, but I doubt voters in ROI will want that. Shame, I think Swiss direct-democracy works better.

@Choyaa13 Not an app, but huggingface (which hosts AI models) has some good options. The apps are usually just wrappers for the AI models it hosts, so straight to source instead.
