Looks like Tweetbot is shutting down so that means I’ll be out of twitter as well. See you on the other site.

Ok so what’s up with recaptcha these days? I’m starting to doubt my own non-robotness as they’ve been so irritating to solve lately.

[Otto Vehviläinen @Mumakil]

Super happy with @ouraring customer support. Been having battery problems with my two year old ring, complained about it to them and now there’s a replacement being shipped to me. 6/5 would recommend.

[Otto Vehviläinen @Mumakil]

@vsaarinen I’ve been using the model without the scale since last fall and been super happy with it too. Much more even grind and allows smaller dosage than what I had before.

McKenzie's Razor and Shaving Cream: Don't attribute to evil what you can explain by emergent behavior in complex system.

You should aggressively update your estimate on whether a system is bugged or not by inspecting whether the system delivers sensible outputs given its inputs.

@SKauppila I'm interested to see how this escalates.

@mieky @linear_app Wow, nice, congrats! I have to say I strongly suspected this from the “making moves” tweet ;-)

@jorilallo I have a Jabra Speak 510, it’s been super nice. Big difference to MacBook mic/speakers.

My first ever @elmlang app is starting to come together. Surprising things have been hard but the joy of “it compiles -> it works” is quite something.

[Otto Vehviläinen @Mumakil]

Also, Rails is pretty good and stable. The only big thing that broke in the 3.0 to 6.0 upgrade that wasn’t pretty simple to fix was the frontend app build. Lots of minor things here and there but surprisingly good.

[Otto Vehviläinen @Mumakil]

I started updating a rails app I wrote 9 years ago and hasn’t really been touched since. Very mixed feelings: It’s been in almost daily use the whole time so I guess it’s good but oh boy it’s painful to look at code that I wrote that long ago.

[Otto Vehviläinen @Mumakil]

@mieky Thanks, I will!

Pretty excited to spend the next three months on parental leave hanging out with our 8 month old. I’m also up for coffees, lunches etc during daytime so DM me if interested!

Please don’t send me an unsubscribe successful email when I unsubscribe from a list I didn’t intentionally subscribe to in the first place. I have to wonder if these have ever converted someone back…

This is awesome, Helsinki is marketing themselves as City As A Service :) https://t.co/sWh3ZVP955

I’ve now tested almost all barista oat drinks available in Finnish grocery stores and have to say that (sadly) the Oatly iKaffe has the best frothing properties for espresso drinks. Now if only their branding was even a little less aggravating…

Why does instagram still require microphone access to post even still photos to stories?
