Justice for Adeel Akbar!!
The tragic and untimely death of Adeel Akbar reflects the story of a young officer who stood firm for truth. He was targeted by the corrupt and ignored by those who should have heard him, yet he kept on fighting till he couldn’t. It is a moment of deep shame for a system that fails the honest and shields the wicked. Even after his exoneration from the false allegations made against him, instead of offering an apology for his pain and rectifying the loss to his career, the system kept on subjecting him to pain, humiliation and pressures. A Judicial Commission must be formed to investigate the matter, and a Shuhada Package should be granted to the bereaved family immediately.

Kenyan Appeal Court has delivered a verdict in my husband's murder case. The court ruled that the police officers involved in Arshad's death acted unlawfully and unconstitutionally.
The court ordered Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) to update us on its investigations, recommendations, and the Director Public Prosecution's response within 30 days. I'm still seeking accountability in Pakistan, where the conspiracy to kill my husband was actually hatched. I hope those responsible for Arshad's death will be held accountable in Kenya and Pakistan. I'm grateful for the support of the Kenya Union of Journalists, Media Defence and Kenya Correspondents Association in pursuing this case. Special thanks to our lawyer Ochiel Dudley.

What type of leadership destroys a political party with reckless decisions?

1. A reference was filed against a judge who was to be the CJ after 2023 general elections, in the hope he can be removed well in time. He is the current CJ.

2. A vicious campaign was launched against an army general to stop him from becoming the COAS. Once he did become COAS, another plan was initiated to remove him through civil unrest. He is the current COAS.

3. When the party is in complete disarray and the elections are nearing, it decides to launch a campaign against Returning Officers from the DMG group. Same officers will now be holding general elections according to a SC decision.
