Happy #SuperbOwl day! 🦉
This owl is from the Description de l’Égypte Pl.3. Author Jerome V.C Smith mentions an owl in Pilgrimage to #Egypt (1852): ‘One day a little owl made its appearance in the rigging,’ (p. 11). The owl travelled with him from Malta to Egypt! #TravelStudies
I’m thrilled to reveal the stunning cover of my debut novel #NEPHTHYS. @micaelaalcaino has outdone herself in portraying my heroine Clemmie & the blending of Victorian & Ancient Egypt.

I’d just recommend adding *something* to the narrative beyond a morbid ‘tid-bit’. These small pieces of information aren’t wholly correct and invite no consideration for the wider context on the destruction of mummified remains. 14/
