Chicago police shot and killed the driver of a wanted vehicle in Humboldt Park after he allegedly struck a pedestrian, crashed into a CTA bus multiple times, and hit an unmarked squad car while fleeing.

A gun was recovered from the vehicle. The man was hit in the chest and pronounced dead at the hospital.

The family claims he was getting food when he was "swarmed by officers" and says police could have done more to de-escalate.

A pedestrian was injured and two officers suffered minor injuries.
