H.E. President @HassanSMohamud received Ambassadors of diplomatic missions and representatives of international organizations accredited to Somalia at Villa Somalia Presidential Palace.

During the meeting, the President highlighted progress in key Government priority areas, including strengthening security, advancing democratisation, and responding to humanitarian needs.

The President reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to inclusive governance, stability, and a deepened partnership with the international community.

Today at AU Headquarters, it was a pleasure to meet H.E. Parfait Onanga-Anyanga @parfait_onanga, UN SRSG to the African Union @UNOAU_. We exchanged views on the peace and security landscape in the Horn of Africa and ongoing preparations for the upcoming AU Summit. The discussion reaffirmed the importance of continued AU–UN cooperation and our shared commitment to effective multilateral engagement.

Today I had the honour to join the AUC Chairperson for his meeting with H.E. Annette Weber @EUSR_Weber, EU Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, for discussions on regional peace and security and broader AU–EU cooperation @EUtoAU. The EU remains an important partner in supporting AU-led peace efforts, as well as in advancing development and broader continental priorities.
