You know what frustrates me about conversations like this?

The first wife is almost always immediately cast as the villain.

Her pain is dismissed with, “But what he did isn’t haram.”

Yes. Something being permissible in itself does not mean every way of pursuing it is automatically righteous, merciful, wise, or free from wrongdoing.

Do you really think Allah did not take her feelings into consideration?

@butlerspasta I hope everyone gets the chance to visit Makkah mukarama atleast once in their life.
That first sight of Kaba shareef makes you realize how small and insignificant all your troubles were, you just had to come back to your Creator, you forget everything at that heavenly sight

[• @Rohi_Alii]

I will neverrrrrrrr, everrrrrrrrrrr forget how Allah stayed with me when the whole world went silent.

surah ad-duha will always be my comfort surah. whenever i’m depressed, having a bad day or just overthinking the shit out of everything, i recite it as many times as i can and somehow there’s this unexplainable sense of relief and peace.

Never mess with people who are extremely kind and tolerant. Because the very moment they have had enough of your behavior and they turn their backs on you, it’s all over.

[Dr. Majeedat Abdul_writes 🩺 @MajeedatAbdul]

What I find very disturbing is how dispensable we make wives sound in this part of the world.

“Send her to her father’s house”. “Divorce her”.
“Take another and let her have competition”.

Almost like they are objects to be replaced and not partners to reconcile and live with.

[Pinball @eatz_jaybee]

As a NUPE MAN, I don't think there's a more painful response to "I LOVE YOU" than, "Oh! Ashhhha Mahn!"

[Maimuna @munababs]

Oh and we definitely make that face while saying it😂😂😂

That woman is me!

[Yana🌸 @yanaaszn_]

I think every woman hits that season where she's not angry anymore, just aware. You see people clearly. You move differently. You don't explain.. you just shift. That's maturity mixed with grace.
