We mean that the husband carries the full, non-negotiable burden of providing housing, food, and every essential need, while the woman's money remains entirely her own. This is a fundamental right established in Sharia to protect a woman's financial dignity.

This does not cover your illiterate suggestion of "beating the shit out of her" or any form of domestic abuse. There is no such thing as "beating a wife Islamically". That is just you displaying your deep-seated misogynistic behavior.

The "no 50-50" language is the raw text of the law. It is the absolute truth. Women are only encouraged to support their husbands, similar to how Zainab supported Ibn Mas'ud, but they are never compelled to do so.

If a wife chooses to contribute, it is considered an act of voluntary charity, not a legal obligation. Our mothers support our fathers constantly.

I know personally how many times my own school fees came from my mum. Many Muslim women are responsible and they deeply understand the intent of the text. They give out of love and mercy, not because some man is holding a threat of violence over their heads. It is their right. Respect it.
