UNISON NEC elections are important we need to use our votes to elect the right people whos agenda has the members on it from top to bottom and not their own which is what has happened in the last 2 years.
Huge thanks to @unisontheunion ‘s women’s conference #unwc2025 . So many inspirational brave women speaking up. Great speeches on workers rights, violence ag women &girls, migrant workers rights and international solidarity .
I am proud to be standing for the NEC to continue to represent health workers.
Also proud to be standing along side a great team.
NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN NOW
Totally agree with the sentiments of these members. The lies, dishonour and downright insidious nature of the comments in this so called campaign video are sickening. They demonstrate a weak insensitivity, devoid of any moral fortitude. Disgusting and foul behaviour.
If you don’t want a union based on lies, then support the campaign ‘to bin’ Andrea Eagan for general Secretary. Please share if you want a union that lives up to its responsibilities and genuinely supports UNISON members.
I was incredibly proud to move the motion on The Future of Local Government on behalf of @unisontheunion at #LabourConference24
And remain clear in my belief that when it comes to Local Government…
“…it must not be allowed to fail. Bankruptcy is not an option.”
Thank you, Gloria! It’s an honour to represent the union movement and stand alongside all the unions and their dedicated members who, through their unwavering campaigning, spirit, and commitment, have shaped the law and continue to fight for workers’ rights. #Lab24
📢 UNISON members, your vote is crucial!
The political fund has been key to winning the national minimum wage and other key legislation.
That’s 2 ballot papers in the post from our house.
📮Your ballot papers are in the post to you now. Please return yours and #VoteYes because together we’re stronger.
Today is International #NonBinaryPeoplesDay 💛🤍💜🖤✊
In our Year of LGBT+ workers, we celebrate and honour diversity and fight for equality, respect, and recognition.
I’m on your side and spoke in support of the motion . Lack of understanding and using personal vendettas to attack police staff is unacceptable. Members of trade unions should not be advocating for cuts in funding for policing and other public services that can cause job losses.
The Police and Justice colleagues did not deserve to be attacked the way they were, they deserve support from our UNISON members, we would not attack other public workers how dare they be treated appallingly it was very upsetting to hear and see upset members
A THREAD ⬇️ It’s been a difficult week for Police & Justice attendees to NDC. We have been placed in incredibly difficult situations regarding conduct during Composite D on Palestine and Motion 56 on Tory Cuts to Police Funding Harms Community Safety. @MaureenNEC2023
A privilege to meet President Abbas as part of a global union group in Palestine this week to meet politicians unions and workers to discuss how we can support them. I spoke about using our political influence with our govts @unisontheunion
I don’t know about you, but I’ve waited a long time to get to this point.
This General Election, voters have a clear choice between the past and the future.
I’ll be voting for Labour because the past is gloomy, but the future doesn’t have to be 🌹

More of our amazing health members are out on strike today. This time in the East Midlands, where HCAs are demanding the right banding for the jobs they do.

Thank you to all our activists in @unisonglr for making UNISON’s Year of Black Workers such a successful campaigning year.
Lovely to speak to those who dedicated their time and work to building a legacy we can be proud of.
