Pics from the #AlmostFamous 20th anniversary release 5-CD boxed set. Thank you @CameronCrowe & #NealPreston for the tribute to me/my alter-ego, Vic Munoz, as played by @BaruchelNDG. I’m truly humbled. Now I’ll never forget what I looked like at age 17. #TheMostImportantCharacter
@Matthewtravis08 I think you’re awesome and I’m sure a lot of other people would agree with me. Thank you for being you. Best regards from a fellow Swiftie (though a bit longer in the tooth —I’m 66 — than most in the TS fandom). President Harris or bust!
@roberthilburn I’ll be well only if a certain candidate (KH) prevails on Tuesday. Belated congratulations on the Dodgers WS triumph 🎉🎉🎉- I know what a loyal fan you are. 😛
@crockpics Drive All Night
The very first time I heard the album (on release day, Oct. 17, 1980) I remember how the opening piano notes made me start crying almost immediately & by the end of the song I was weeping uncontrollably. It’s in the Top 5 of the greatest songs he’s ever written.
@WhittyAuthor You’re welcome! I love how the impact of that final page is so intense because the reader absolutely does not see it coming - I was a weepy mess! I’m now reading Liane Moriarty’s latest & I noticed the editor for it is the same as the ATCOTD editor. That’s great company you keep!
.@WhittyAuthor I’ve now read all 4 of Mr. Whitaker’s novels, one right after the other and, unsurprisingly, #AllTheColorsofTheDark is his masterpiece. I’m sure the final page of everyone’s copy is drenched in tears. This is the best book I’ve read all year! A solid 10/10.
@penguinusa Jacqueline Susann’s “Valley of the Dolla” - I read it just after I turned 9 in 1967. The quality of the books I’ve read since then has, fortunately, improved. But VOTD will always be the one that got me on my way to enjoying the single greatest pastime in the history of pastimes!
@itstaytaylors 56 and I wish I had paid attention to it then. I didn’t get into her music until 2023 when I was a spring chicken of 65. Oh well - it’s never too late to get into greatness. 😛
