A4) I chose to teach music because I had a teacher who made me love singing more than anything. I want to inspire students to love making music. Getting them in music can change his/her life path. I would love to know that music stood in the place of a destructive life. #CSUBTED
A1) What stood out to me was the use of Restorative Justice. I may not be the person to execute it for my students, but I am aware of what it is now and have resources to give my administration. #CSUBTED
A3) If I started tomorrow, I would start off by implementing classroom mottos and rules so that the students would understand what kind of culture I want in the class. I would also have them learn so new choir concepts so that they can get accustomed to the procedures. #CSUBTED
A2) While I was observing, I saw my master teacher do two things that helped him manage/engage the class. Whenever he said/did something, he had all of the students repeat. He would also say things like "right, Tim?" or "Huh, Trinity" This kept them paying attention! #CSUBTED
@MarilynEDU A1: The gradual release of responsibility is crucial. Once students learn a new concept, it's great to let them make connections with the outside world. Find an example of this concept using social media or current world events. That's continuity! #BetterTogetherCA
@PintoBeanz11 A5: If you can't get your technology running on a certain day, you have to be able to still teach that day. Anything can happen and you have to be ready regardless. You should use it as a tool, not a crutch. #BetterTogetherCA
@CATeacherSummit A6: The simple act of exchanging ideas with colleagues helped me very much. This can be at a PLC or just in an informal hangout. If you're willing to share with each other what does and doesn't work for you, you'll learn how much it can help others and you. #BetterTogetherCA
@CoriOrlando1 A4 #BetterTogetherCA The students' favorite is always kahoot. For choir, you can do really cool music theory and vocabulary kahoots. They also love remind 101 app. It makes them feel a stronger sense of membership.
@PintoBeanz11#BetterTogetherCA Something as simple as me using an interactive google slideshow for my lessons instead of writing on a whiteboard keeps my students engaged. It's visually stimulating for them and saves time!
@MccormackKenya Is it me, or is it difficult to reply with a good answer because of the limited characters?! I just wanna keep on typing and typing and typi

@MccormackKenya A (GVC) is sequenced well enough to provide enough time to cover only the necessary content. Good for PLCs that have enough teachers/subject
@MccormackKenya My Philos. is about creating life long learners. They won't need someone to force them to learn. They'll be intrigued to do it themselves!
