@herdyshepherd1 More value needs to get to the farmer; consumers must afford that value. Who needs to lose to make this happen? Supermarkets, their shareholders and the wider rentier class. The closer you look, the more you realise that capitalism is consuming all the good in the world

@MilesKing10 It's possibly higher than the £2.4bn this FY because they managed to bring forward underspend from previous years. Averaged over the last 3 years I think it's meant to be £2.4 to £2.6
@AlexHeffron20 It's another argument for the programme Farming in Protected Landscapes #FIPL. While I accept that farmers are still bankrolling projects, PLs operating FIPL can make staged payments as soon after defrayal as possible where necessary.
