Life
We weren’t designed to live alone; isolated and disconnected. We were created to do life together in covenant, community, connection and collaboration. God’s earliest proclamation over man was “Its not good for man to be alone, I will make him a helper.”
God created us to complete each other; to bring our strength to the weaknesses of others and to embrace the strengths of others in our weakness and deficiencies.
No one was born with all they need to live life successfully. God proactively designed us with deficiencies that make it absolutely necessary to live in relationship with Him and His people to fulfill our divine purpose.
Consequently, God often puts us together with people who are bad at things we are great at, and vise-versa. He didn’t put us in their lives to expose their weaknesses but to cover them; to do for them what they can’t do for themselves…at least not very well. And they do the same for us. This is apart of our divine design; it’s what gives purpose and meaning to our lives.
It’s not by happenstance that opposites attract; it’s divine magnetism, holy orchestration- God ordained administration. We all tend to admire in others what we lack in ourselves; in fact I am convinced that this “admiration” is a symptom of our divine call to do life together.
Love is the glue that bonds us in community and keeps us living in harmony and peace together. Love covers the weakness of others and motivates us to fill in each ours deficiencies.
One of the most common relational tragedies happens when we fall out of love with one another, and lose sight of God’s divine order. Then we compare our strengths to their weaknesses and live offended by those we are called to cover. This quickly spirals down into bitterness, unforgiveness, distrust and disconnection.
The enemy also works to divide us knowing that the agreement of two souls moves heaven and impossibilities dissolve in the unity of the Spirit.
Maybe it’s time to reevaluate our divine purpose, our people and our problems and ask ourselves if we have fallen out of love!
What you build with your gifts must be sustainable with your character otherwise, you will use your gifts to try to maintain your connections with people. This leads to manipulation through
flattery and generosity; buying people’s loyalty with money and praise.
