The Jacques Baud Interviews: Condemned for Speaking the Objective Truth

On Saturday, October 24, I travelled to Brussels, Belgium. My mission: to interview Jacques Baud, the retired Swiss Colonel and veteran intelligence officer sanctioned by the European Union for telling the truth about the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

Jacques and I met in the home of one of his friends and close supporters, and over the course of several hours engaged in a wide ranging conversation about his life and work, and the consequences of being sanctioned by the European Union, accused of being a Russian propagandist.

The interview, recorded by my daughter, Victoria and edited by Alexandra Madornaya, will be released in two parts.

Part One will explore the life and times of Jacques Baud, tracing his work as a Swiss Strategic Intelligence Officer, United Nations Peacekeeper, and NATO Humanitarian specialist. This interview underpins the reality that Jacques Baud is the furthest thing from a Russian propagandist. Trained in the US and UK, Jacques is an intelligence professional whose objectivity and adherence to fact-based analysis is backed by a track record of proven performance at the highest levels of international policy making.

Part Two will dive into Jacques writing and podcasts done after retirement. It is work that had him targeted by the European Union for sanctions which, when taken at face value, were tantamount to a death sentence. In a recent review of his case by the European Union, Jacques’ sanctions were extended. The reason why? He was too neutral and too objective in his assessments, and as such his work would help Russia and hinder the European Union.

Condemned to die because he was too objective, and too neutral.

It is my honor and privilege to publish these interviews, and to further the work of Jacques Baud, a heroic man on the frontlines of the fight for free speech.

🇷🇺🇪🇺 Putin on Europe's riots: stop blaming Russia, look in the mirror

After European politicians rushed to blame Moscow for the looting and unrest in France and Italy, Putin answered in an interview with Pavel Zarubin. His message: blaming Russia only means Europe will never fix the real causes, and those causes are of its own making.

🔸️Debt and deficits: Public debt above 100% of GDP in many EU countries, close to 140% in Italy, with deficits of over 5% in France and Belgium. Russia's public debt, by comparison, is 17.5%, and its external debt just 2.6%.

🔸️Deindustrialization: Since 2021, industrial production has fallen across Europe's leading economies, by as much as 5.2% in Germany, the eurozone's locomotive, dragging the rest of the bloc down with it. In Russia, industrial production is up 10% over the same period, and manufacturing up 21%.

🔸️The green agenda: Shutting down nuclear plants and coal mines before alternatives were ready. Life has shown it doesn't work.

🔸️Sanctions: Banning everything Russian is "simply stupid," Putin says. Russia never refused to supply cheap oil, gas, coal or uranium; Europe cut itself off, and still buys enough that Russian LNG makes up 20% of its market. It also walked away from the Russian market, with European companies leaving under pressure from their own governments, some of them "almost in tears."

🔸️Foreign policy and migration: Europe's role in the Middle East, combined with mass migration, has created communities that don't assimilate and whose grown-up children increasingly reject the countries they live in. Many have lived there for decades without speaking the language. And how can Europe pass on its traditions, Putin asks, when it's busy destroying them itself?

Russia, he notes, was built over centuries as a multiethnic, multi-faith state where Christians, Muslims, Jews and Buddhists have no other homeland. That's the colossal difference.

His conclusion: Russia shouldn't gloat or press on the sore spot, but it won't stay silent when blamed. Europe's problems grew on European soil, and that's where they need to be solved.

Esprimo preoccupazione per la situazione delle persone fermate e trattenute – non è chiaro dove – in relazione ai fatti di #Milano, tra cui numerosi minorenni con background migratorio.

Anche qualora alcuni dei giovani fermati avessero commesso dei reati – circostanza che dovrà essere accertata nelle sedi competenti – ciò non li priverebbe in alcun modo dei loro diritti fondamentali, che devono essere garantiti e rispettati senza eccezioni.

La storia recente del nostro Paese ci insegna, purtroppo, che in situazioni di forte tensione si sono verificati episodi gravissimi di violenza. Di qui, la mia preoccupazione. Che spero risulterà infondata.

Di fronte a una destra autoritaria, animata da uno spirito di vendetta intriso di classismo e razzismo, è necessario ribadire con forza un principio irrinunciabile: viviamo in uno Stato di diritto, non in uno Stato di polizia.
Il garantismo e il rispetto dei diritti fondamentali costituiscono le fondamenta di una società democratica e civile. Devono valere sempre, per tutte e tutti. Soprattutto in questi momenti.

Con il nuovo decreto sicurezza, in arrivo militari in strada a #Milano – ai quali volevano persino attribuire poteri di polizia – e una raffica di altre misure ottusamente repressive.

Senza il minimo accenno di autocritica, il Governo post-fascista continua imperterrito sulla strada della repressione.
Eppure, i fatti di Milano rappresentano plasticamente il FALLIMENTO di queste politiche securitarie.
Dovrebbe ormai essere evidente a tutti: la loro “sicurezza” è solo becera propaganda e il loro approccio autoritario non funziona.

Sono imbarazzanti nella loro ostinatezza.

L’establishment, complice del genocidio e impegnato in una sistematica campagna di demonizzazione della sinistra, vuole mettere a tacere una delle voci più coraggiose e scomode della politica europea.

Perquisizioni di polizia oggi nelle sedi del Parlamento europeo di Strasburgo e Bruxelles.
Al centro delle indagini, la presunta distrazione e appropriazione indebita di oltre 4,3 milioni di euro di fondi pubblici europei da parte del gruppo di estrema destra “Identità e Democrazia” durante la legislatura 2019-2024.

Si tratta del gruppo politico oggi dissolto, di cui faceva parte la Lega di Salvini e il Rassemblement National di Le Pen, nel frattempo riciclatisi, insieme ad altre formazioni, tra le fila dei cosiddetti “Patrioti.”

Già, proprio loro: la Lega.
Quelli che si riempiono spesso la bocca di onestà e legalità (quando si tratta degli altri).
Quelli dei 49 milioni confiscati per la truffa sui rimborsi elettorali.

Naturalmente saranno le indagini ad accertare eventuali responsabilità.
Però, ecco, questi sedicenti patrioti, sempre pronti a puntare il ditino contro gli altri, sembrano proprio avere uno strano rapporto con i soldi pubblici.

📉 Salari reali fermi da trent'anni. Nel 2025 ancora il 7,5% sotto il livello del 2021.

🧑‍🎓 Povertà assoluta tra i 18 e i 34 anni: siamo passati dal 3,1% del 2005 al 12,1% di oggi. Quattro volte tanto.

🏠 Nel 1980 l'affitto assorbiva l'8,7% del reddito delle famiglie in affitto (Bankitalia). Nel 2020, siamo arrivati a oltre il 20%.
Patrimonio immobiliare in mano agli under 35: dall'11% del 1987 a un misero 3% del 2022. Gli over 65 sono invece passati dal 18% al 40%.

💰 Tra il 2010 e il 2025 la ricchezza nazionale è cresciuta di oltre 2.000 miliardi. Il 91% è però andato al 5% più ricco. Alla metà più povera, appena il 2,7%.

🏦 Tra il 2023 e il 2025, oltre 313 miliardi di interessi lordi dalla BCE sono andati alle banche europee. Le banche italiane hanno realizzato quasi 135 miliardi di profitti.

✈️ Dal 2011 al 2024, 630 mila giovani sono emigrati all'estero.
Dal 2000 al 2025, abbiamo però avuto oltre un milione e mezzo di sbarchi, senza riuscire a governare l'integrazione, spesso diventata marginalità, criminalità e degrado delle periferie, ben lontane dai discorsi retorici delle ZTL.

🧠 Alla crisi economica si aggiunge quella esistenziale. Secondo l'OCSE, i quindicenni con disturbi fisici o psicologici ricorrenti sono passati dal 37% del 2014 al 52% del 2022. In Italia il 66%, tra i dati più alti dei paesi avanzati.

👶 Nel 2008 nascevano 576.000 bambini. Nel 2025 appena 355.000.

⚠️ In trent'anni abbiamo privatizzato, liberalizzato i mercati, aperto alla libera circolazione dei capitali e trasformato profondamente la struttura delle nostre civiltà.

Ci fanno litigare sulle migliaia di euro di danni, mentre continuano a fatturare miliardi.
La differenza sta nei 6 zeri di differenza.
