Trainee IPS Uday Krishna Reddy Sexual Assault - Update

An FIR has been filed against trainee IPS Uday Krishna Reddy yesterday in Attapur PS, Hyderabad for assaulting and harassing a 30 year old trainee IPS.

According to the complaint copy, Uday Krishna Reddy used to abuse the victim with words like “butch” and “shameless” in front of other trainees IPS officers at Sardar Vallabhai Patel Police Training Academy, Hyderabad.

He ‘grabbed her by her hair and dragged her to the room where he showed her a knife and threatened to stab her, tried to strangulate her with his bare hands. He threw condom packets at her, groped her and even recorded videos of her’, according to the FIR.

This man till this complaint was a poster boy for struggle and achievement. He was orphaned at a young age and raised by his grandmother. He became a constable and apparently when he was ill treated by his superior he decided to become an IPS. He secured 350th rank and since his story was narrated on multiple platforms giving him instant fame and social media status.

He would give interviews on life and cracking exams to YouTube channels and has massive following on Instagram.

Now he is facing cases of sexual assault, harassment, blackmailing and other charges.
