I am extremely saddened and shocked to hear of the passing of Omukama Oyo Rukidi IV. Our country has lost a great royal at a very young age. He still had a lot to contribute to our beloved country. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

It is with a deeply heavy heart, profound sorrow, and immense grief that I send my heartfelt condolences on the passing of His Royal Highness, Omukama of Tooro.

​As the Deputy Minister of Finance for the Kingdom of Tooro, I join the entire Kingdom, the Batooro nation, and the people of Uganda in mourning a visionary leader, a bedrock of our cultural heritage, and a steadfast pillar of unity and progress.

​His Majesty’s dedicated service, wisdom, and passion for the socio-economic empowerment of our people leave an indelible legacy. He was not only a traditional leader but also a dynamic advocate for development, education, wealth creation, and financial sustainability within the Kingdom.

His commitment to ensuring that Tooro prospered economically while maintaining its rich cultural roots guided our ministry’s vision and work.
​During this period of immense loss, my prayers remain with the Queen Mother (Omugo), the Royal Family, the Cabinet, and all the Batooro. May Almighty God grant the Kingdom strength, comfort, and peace as we navigate this dark hour.

​We commit to honoring His Majesty’s memory by preserving his vision for a prosperous, united, and strong Tooro Kingdom.

Fellow patriots,
After observing a few issues from the day I assumed office, I wish to issue the following statement.
PLU is an organization firmly built on the rule of law and all we do is guided by the strict tenets of the law We will not tolerate or condone any breach of the law by any member.
Accordingly, all PLU members are strongly warned against:
Engaging in extortion
Participating in any criminal activities and physical attacks on fellow Plu members or any other Ugandan
Dressing in military or paramilitary style uniforms.
Any member found engaging in such acts will face appropriate disciplinary action, as these behaviours are contrary to the values and principles of PLU.
No individual or group is permitted to organize, convene, or announce any event, program, or activity in the name of PLU without the prior knowledge and, where necessary, explicit clearance from the Office of the General Secretary and Chairman @mkainerugaba or CC members.
We urge all members to uphold the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and respect for the law as we continue to build a credible and respected organization and all its leaders.
For those who have differences, the secretariat is open, we want a united Plu and I am available to receive your complaints so that we can find a way of solving them, fighting is never a solution.
