Come on PLEASE - the STAAR test is stressful enough and you're gonna let a computer score kids essay answers?? Even if it's supplemental, I fear it's gonna do worse at scoring than hired graders. We're already dying under the district takeover.

Idk how you want me to click slower. honestly I get you're scanning for bots but sometimes clicking into another category on the website gets me blocked - it's ridiculous. Please find a better way to detect bots. There's gotta be a better way it's 2024...

[chris @murder__cat]

supposedly the block is like a temporary 5 hour hold or something dumb, but knowing my luck the stupid sleeves will be sold out...

[chris @murder__cat]

dear god the pokemon center needs to fix their website... I clicked on their newsletter to buy the cute new card sleeves they released and the site automatically blocked me for clicking to fast... I CLICKED A LINK IN THEIR OWN NEWSLETTER??

Excuse me?

In this week's Texas corruption news:

-Gov. Abbott takes $6M donation from out-of-state billionaire to keep pushing school voucher scams.

-AG Paxton admits he's corrupt in civil court filing.

-Lt. Governor Patrick silent about $3M donation he took to rig Paxton's Senate trial.

Or at this point - a radical concept - make it a public utility. Wireless connectivity is tied to literally everything we do these days. It's unfair to keep folks locked out because they can't afford it or live in a rural area.

[chris @murder__cat]

nonononono this program has to keep going!! As someone who grew up without internet access, this program is soooo important. It was expensive back in 2010 and it's still expensive and almost inaccessible in rural areas.

Don't forget what happened during peak lockdown in 2020 - kids sitting in PARKING LOTS for free wifi access because they didn't have it at home to do their school work. That used to be me in high school. Don't take this away from folks because it's simply "too expensive"
