@BBCAfrica@SarsyJay It was a sad day. I remember very well on this day. Was writing for the now defunct Daily Observer then. It was a sad day for both Gambians and Senegalese. Not many across Africa were aware of it. Good to see a documentary about the disaster, so lessons can be learnt.

On the route I pass through when I go jogging in London, somebody leaves some food on the pavement every day for people. Reminds me that when I was in boarding school in Ikorodu, sacrifices left at junctions were our major source of protein. It didn't harm me...or did it?😂😂😂
