Fauci … is he really going to face justice? I doubt it. But it is a huge black eye and lesson for the future. Next time someone tries to shame everyone into compliance we can point to this example of not blindly following the rhetoric.
@DrFrankTurek Because they don’t know what it is to be in peace with God and to know He Loves us. That means he chastises those He loves but the result is Joy.
According to Elon, in 10 years AI will see us much like we see chimpanzees. Although scary at least we can expect unlimited bananas from our overlords.
Before 1983: Under traditional Catholic discipline (medieval practice through the 1917 Code), an excommunicated person generally could not assist at Mass or other sacred ceremonies.
They were to leave (especially vitandi); if a named vitandus refused, the service could be stopped. Passive presence was forbidden as part of exclusion from the communion of the faithful. (The 1983 Code relaxed this to allow attendance while still barring sacraments and active roles.)
Oh that’s great. Honestly I didn’t realize that. But I just checked to be sure and in the Middle Ages they were not supposed to attend mass. So my statement still stands. But I’m grateful that today they can still attend. I’d rather then attend a confessional lutheran church however.
