Here's the contemporary romance I'm querying live from the heart of Lebanon where Riwa and Samer fall in love while facing the biggest economic crisis Lebanon has ever known.
🌊Features book & antique cafés, a cruel summer, and the chaos of the early 20s.
bro yall bullied a girl off this app bc she asked for advice on how to read classics WHICH ***ARE*** harder to read than contemporary? WHAT IN THE INTELLECTUAL SNOBBERY WAS THAT???? I'm so disgusted
I know there is discussion about classics being hard, which can be very true, and not knowing where to start so here is thread about getting into classic literature, coming from a senior english literature major who does not recommend Dorian Gray as your first classic
@kieracass It was the first book I ever purchased from a bookstore!! And I read the elite in one evening!😭 I was gathering pinterest memes like crazy😔🙏 will always have so much love for it
@charliesshark Read famous one while listening to the audiobook (famous ones like p&p have amazing audiobooks on spotify). Once u get used to the language, you'll be able to breathe through them easier
@charliesshark@judesgreatwar ^^^ to add to what i said, start by listening ALONGSIDE reading to get used to the old style. Combo of seeing + hearing is the best way to acquire the language. (yes im an english teacher😭😭)
i have such a curious question. should u be querying different things in different genres at the same time? like i could be actively querying romance, poetry, and children's books rn. but idk if it's a good route to take #amwriting#amquerying
my current book could go in so many directions and each would need me to write a different version of the 2/3 of the book. i'm so confused as to which direction to take #amwriting
