Opiyo Wandayi, the Minister for Energy has without number demonstrated his complete lack of knowledge on energy matters & has shown he is a flower girl in the Ministry. As he has refused to resign & the President because of Broad-Based Marriage may not sack him, I suggest a solution. Let him be swapped with Geoffrey Ruku, the Minister for Public Service. I know Ruku & I know his knowledge & understanding of things is thousand miles away from Wandayi. Let Ruku be Minister for Energy. Let Wandayi go to Public Service.
If you are a student at a public university, make sure you move with your cohort 100%. Don't fail a paper and avoid sitting for special exams. If you fall off an inch, the system is super impersonal and cares less about your feelings and timelines. That's the hard truth.
2010 constitution was hailed as a game changer, a seismic change in governance, and the catapult to a new enlightened and progressive era. If we put a side the sloganeering rhetoric and chew the bitter empirical data, what is the truth/verdict 15 years later?
1. The executive is as powerful (if not more powerful) as former President Moi. The imperial president is a live, stronger, and kicking.
2. Parliament is more corrupt and dead, defacto. No meaningful debates/legislation happens in both houses. Senators debate more in the studios of Citizen tv than on the floor of the House. KANU's Parliament was more competent, effective, more progressive, and less corrupt.
3. Kenya is more corrupt under the 2010 constitution than under the old constitution. More public funds were looted, btw 2010 to 2025, than btw 1963 to 2011.
4. The judiciary is more corrupt and totally unaccountable. The old constitutional order and the KANU judiciary were much better, more competent, and less corrupt than the Martha Koome led judiciary. FACT!
5. Constitutional commissions exist only in name.
6. The Supreme Court declared that the "values and principles of governance under Article 10" of the constitution are useless and not worth the paper its written on.
7. Only in the Bill of Rights are Kenyans seeing a positive change under the 2010 constitution.
8. Conclusion: The 2010 constitution is good on paper but almost worthless in reality. It was killed by a conspiracy between the executive, parliament, and judiciary. This trinity of tyrants will not allow Kenyans to enjoy the fruits of the 2010 constitution. And the people of Kenya (because of tribal loyalties, abject poverty, and general stupidities/ng'ombeness) are not conscious enough to mitigate the situation and bring meaningful change that will enforce and implement the 2010 constitution.
Here’s a snapshot of our recently completed Scan-to-BIM projects.
The goal was to capture the as-built conditions so the client can proceed with renovations.

One of the positive aspects of being a mjengo ptofessional is that your works allows you to travel far and wide. Eventually, it becomes mundane for most people but there is always alot to learn from visiting different places and interacting with various cultures!
Charging professional fees not commensurate to effort required to deliver a project/assignment for a client in order to 'retain' them or get future referals is and will always be hustling backwards🤦🏾
