To help tackle climate & nature breakdown we need to #ReforestEngland. We have enough land in England to double tree cover by growing the right trees in the right places.
@ZacGoldsmith will you take action & set a long-term tree cover target?
Amazing work by Oxford students Maddy & Emily who are organising a Trees stall at #freshersweek fair today & tomorrow. They're aiming to double tree cover in Oxfordshire, starting with getting colleges to make their land available for trees.

Just another interview where you get islamophobic abuse - this is what is normalised by the likes of Trump, & Farage. One of the many incidents over the last few days #StopTrumpism
Nice waterside view? But @BerkeleyGroupUK want to keep the river Moselle that flows under their @Clarendonn8 development buried! @haringeycouncil must insist on daylighting this river. No other London river is bathing water quality - it's a poor excuse for inaction!
So #COP24 ended on Saturday and I'm now back home, rested (a bit) & trying to assess whether 2 weeks, 197 countries and a whole lots of brackets (funny UNFCCC reference for you there) managed to get us on track to stop the worst of #climatechange. Short answer, no. Long answer...
It's a sick sick irony to be at European launch of @IPCC_CH Special Report on keeping climate change to 1.5 degrees Celsius, at the precise moment #fracking is starting up in #Lancashire
Everything the scientists are telling us needs to happen will be made harder by #fracking
Yep, and building a third runway at Heathrow, starting fracking, freezing fuel duty, banning on-shore wind, removing all solar subsidies, cancelling zero carbon homes, and many other actions of UK Government, are entirely incompatible with this.
