@Con_Tomlinson We have tax deductions paying for patients to be seen in the private sector already, so this makes no sense. Insurance based healthcare would either be paid through an employer benefit or from take home pay. Many of those lowe seeks to appeal to could never afford it.

@PopeSeneca @m_j_quick @RupertLowe10 I don't know the economics of what proportion of your NI/tax would go to the pension of a public sector worker but I suspect the cost of private healthcare would be vastly higher than that. Again, they could pay for their own insurance but expect fewer staff.

@PopeSeneca @m_j_quick @RupertLowe10 I suppose in that case don't complain when there are fewer people doing those jobs and thus greater wait lists, and you are having to pay for private medical insurance. If there are no tangible financial benefits to doing these difficult jobs then people won't do them.
