@rBillSimmonsPod Are you sharing this trying to say that Simmons was wrong? His viewpoint was a very optimistic one about the Brunson signing and acting otherwise is just disingenuous. If anyone thought he was this guy, the Knicks wouldn’t have got him for what they paid.
Last year’s Pacers would have smashed this version of the Thunder. I realize the Spurs deserve a ton of credit for making them look like this, but the fact that Jared McCain is indispensable in a conference finals game 7 is beyond wild.
I fully trust the Pacers front office, and I’m excited to see Zubac with an already great squad, but man, this message is tough. This reads as though they were surprised by the lottery odds. I’d understand this reaction if they were a 90-10 favorite to keep the pick.
I'm really sorry to all our fans. I own taking this risk. Surprised it came up 5th after this year. I thought we were due some luck. But please remember - this team deserved a starting center to compete with the best teams next year. We have always been resilient.
@LONNIEHEIER Had Wolves ML and +5. Almost dropped some more on the live line after Wemby’s foul, but didn’t get it in time. Def not a good Julius game. The 3rd quarter for the whole team was as bad as a team can play
@getnickwright Anyone who thinks Draymond is anything close to the next Barkley in media doesn’t understand why people like CB. Draymond isn’t funny or the least bit likable, and his critiques just come off as vindictive and self-serving. He also seems to just make stuff up all the time
Interesting provision: "no team would be able to win three consecutive top-five picks"
Would have prevented:
Spurs (Wemby, Castle, Harper)
Pistons (Cade, Ivey, Ausar, Holland)
Cavs (Mobley, Garland, Okoro)
Rockets (Green, Jabari, Amen, Reed)
This is such a terrible way to look at the issue. Maybe the change will drive owners of the worst franchises to think differently about how to get better. And if the owner can’t produce results, maybe they should sell and give someone else a shot at it.
This is very close to what I hoped for. I like the idea of penalizing the worst 3 teams. The unintended consequence is making it more valuable to barely miss the playoffs than it used to be, but any team that intentionally tries to miss the playoffs shouldn't be in the league.
The NBA has disclosed to its 30 GMs a singular new anti-tanking reform that expands the draft lottery to 16 teams, flattens odds, and have a relegation zone where the bottom 3 teams are penalized with fewer lottery balls for the No. 1 pick.

For as frustrating as DirecTV customer service was, I really, really miss it. The combination of streaming sports rights, horrendous TV operating systems (Samsung), and bad streaming apps, it now takes about 5 mins to get to the game I want to see after I turn on the tv
@RealKidPoker I heard you mention hitting it up a box or two and then 3-wood. Seemed reasonable if the outcome was in doubt. Really nice round. I’d pay plenty of green money for my driver dispersion to be even twice as wide.
The NBA's season-ending awards balloting -- typically conducted before the start of the Play-In Tournament -- has not yet commenced.
For past two seasons coinciding with the implementation of the 65-Game Rule, awards ballots went out to voters by midnight ET on the Monday after the regular season … with completed ballots due back to the league office by Tuesday at 6 PM ET before the Play-In opener tipped off.
But this year's voting window has been delayed to allow extra time for resolving any Extreme Circumstances grievances filed by players contesting the 65-Game Rule.
The NBA delaying individual award ballots for voters is going to impact the results. It is a regular season only honor, but idk how anyone with a vote watching this isn’t going to be somewhat influenced by these performances. Kneuppel and Jaquez specifically.
