Hi math folks,
My district is in the process of creating a District Math Fluency Plan for grades K-8. We have found examples for K-5, but we are struggling to find resources for 6-8.
Do you have any resources that you can share?

Just finished supporting my colleagues in Plymouth to implement differentiating through math menu. Those Plymouth teachers are bosses. Just sayin’. More about Menu @AllLearnersMath @PlymathK12
A student writes: .32>.5. Two different teacher responses: Explain that .5 is actually .50…. OR have students construct a number line from 0-1 by tenths. Then ask where .32 goes. The first seems easier. The second leads to understanding. @AllLearnersMath@mburnsmath @nsteve15
I thought it was interesting today when a sixth grader said that math menu gave him time to think about math. He appreciated being able to grapple with a concept “without people watching.” Learn more about menu @AllLearnersMath
Shout out to the middle school teachers in Plymouth, Massachusetts. They are asking hard questions and digging into their practice for the success of their students. I’m always inspired there.
I love this. I’m a male and I would say math is not my greatest strength. Blessed to have gifted female mathematicians at PSMS. Both students and staff! @PlymouthSch @PlymathK12
Our free lunch program will continue throughout the summer at Hedge Elementary & Indian Brook Elementary. Children 18 and under can enjoy free meals all summer long. No registration or identification required. Meals are Grab & Go. Please be sure to wear a face covering.
Thanks to the staff of @plymouthsouth @PlymouthNorthHS@Plymouth_Police@PlymouthFireDpt@TownofPlymouth (DPW), & the Sch.Comm, for the incredible support in making a not so normal graduation an event to remember! The tremendous town-wide unified support was just amazing!🎓🎓
Send off to our fab class of 2020 DECA seniors. Get out there and change the world! We will miss you all. Best wishes from Mrs. Figlioli, Mr. Racicot and Ms. Schram
