A lot of you from outside Ireland are probably hearing about the Garvaghy Road and wondering what all the fuss is about.
1998 -
After the parade was banned from marching on the Garvaghy Rd, ten Catholic churches were set on fire across Ulster in one night.
In the following days, loyalists attacked Catholic homes, schools and businesses. Multiple houses were petrol-bombed, resulting in the murder of 3 young boys, the Quinn brothers. Their home was targeted because their mother was Catholic.
She mother woke to the sound of her children screaming in fear and the house full of smoke. Sadly the boys, Jason, Mark and Richard, did not make it out.
Garfield Gilmour was sentenced to life in prison after he admitted to driving three members of a UVF unit to the house, but later that was reduced to manslaughter.
Johnny McKay and brothers Raymond and Ivan Parke were named by Gilmour as the killers, but were never charged because of a lack of evidence.
In the days following the murders, loyalist bands defied orders not to play music while marching passed the home of the Quinn boys grandmother.
Tonight, a court overturned an earlier ruling banning the parade from marching on the Garvaghy Road, crowds have gathered and confrontation now seems inevitable with that march set to go ahead early Sunday morning.
The courts allowing this march to go ahead is absolute madness!
Israel just committed *the largest child massacre in its history*, according to Haaretz. Two hundred Palestinian children murdered in a single day, with direct support from the US and UK, and zero outrage from Western media. What stage of barbarism is this...
Today, Israel killed over 60 Palestinians in a single strike on a Gaza orphanage.
Read that again: 60 innocent civilians slaughtered in an instant.
But what does Western media want us to be concerned about? Iran striking Israeli military targets.
Absolutely twisted.

My favourite Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh quotes:
"Seán Óg Ó hAilpín. His father's from Fermanagh. His mother's from Fiji. Neither a hurling stronghold."
"The stopwatch has stopped. It’s up to God and the referee now. The referee is Pat Horan. God is God."
"Teddy McCarthy to John McCarthy, no relation. John McCarthy to Teddy McCarthy, still no relation."
"Anthony Lynch, the Cork corner-back, will be the last person to let you down. His people are undertakers."
"1.5 to 0.8 - well, from Lapland to the Antarctic, that’s level scores in any man’s language."
"I saw a few Sligo people at Mass in Gardiner Street this morning and the omens seem to be good for them. The priest was wearing the same colours as the Sligo jersey. 40 yards out on the Hogan Stand side of the field, Ciarán Whelan goes on a rampage, and it’s a goal. So much for religion!"
"Pat Fox out to the 40 and grabs the sliotar. I bought a dog from his father last week. Fox turns and sprints for goal. The dog ran a great race last Tuesday in Limerick. Fox to the 21, fires a shot, it goes to the left and wide. And the dog lost as well."
"He grabs the sliothar. He's on the 50. He's on the 40. He's on the 30. He's on the ground."
"Colin Corkery on the 45 lets it go with the right boot. It's over the bar. This man shouldn’t be playing football. He’s made an almost Lazarus-like recovery from a heart condition. Lazarus was a great man, but he couldn’t kick points like Colin Corkery."
"Pat Fox has it on his hurl and is motoring well now, but here comes Joe Rabbitte hot on his tail. I’ve seen it all now, a Rabbitte chasing a Fox around Croke Park."
"He’s not a big man, he’s not a small man, he’s what you might call a handyman."
"Brian Dooher is down injured. And while he is, I’ll tell you a little story. I was in Times Square in New York last week, and I was missing the Championship back home. So I approached a newsstand, and I said, 'I suppose ye wouldn’t have The Kerryman, would ya?' To which, the Egyptian behind the counter turned to me, and he said, 'Do you want the North Kerry edition or the South Kerry edition?' He had both so I bought both. And Dooher is back on his feet."
As part of my MSc in Agriculture Extension and Innovation, I am carrying out a research topic for my thesis entitled “Investigating the factors that affect farmers decisions to adopt biological products and IPM strategies on Irish tillage farms”

The largest passenger plane in the world, flying halfway across the world, with the Premier of one of the biggest polluting country’s in the world, meeting the biggest clown in the world that’s forcing Irish farmers to cull 200,000 cows because their farts are destroying the world!
Whoever is writing the script of this insanity we are currently living through is a fricking genius!!!
We had a wonderful mornings entertainment in Ratheniska as our Mens & Ladies Footballers put on an exhibition of football with the U25s edging it 2-10 to 4-07 & take home the Joe Ramsbottom Perpetual Cup. For a good cause too as €413 was raised on the day for @Cuislecancer
