Sheikh Mohammed Murtala Chukwuemeka, an Igbo Islamic scholar who translates the Holy Qur’an into the Igbo language, narrated how he was repeatedly stoned in the market because of his faith in the South-East.
Alhamdulillāh, Islam is steadily growing in households across Igbo land.

The Herdsman spoke differently. "I Better join the animals to eat grass than invite foreign bandits to wreck havoc in any community. I was born and brought of here in Abuja. I a Fulani and I speak Gbagi and Hausa Fluently"
Why is it that whenever a Christian, Jew, or someone from another religion starts researching the true religion, you often hear that they eventually become Muslim?

I heard the president have nominated former cds christopher musa for the position of minister of defense,i guess is time for me to tell you guys about my encounter with general christopher musa
General C.G Musa, as the Minister of Defence, will restore high morale and high confidence in the rank and file of the military across the country.
It will further strengthen the confidence level of the Nigerian Public on the willingness, readiness, and ability of the Nigerian Government to move forward and eliminate the threat of terrorism in our country.
General Musa earned this office through merit, competency, and delivery, unlike the usual political consideration dominating ministerial positions. It can be said that he forms part of the Military Technocrats within the Tinubu Administration's cabinet.
I congratulate President Tinubu for this well-informed decision. I congratulate General C.G Musa for his new role.
Most importantly, I congratulate Nigerians for standing firm on what is right, regardless of all other primordial considerations.
Finally, I congratulate the terrorists, for what they wished others for, DEATH, has finally come to them. They should either surrender or die; no middle ground.
STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE
PRESIDENT TINUBU NOMINATES GENERAL CHRISTOPHER MUSA AS THE NEW MINISTER OF DEFENCE
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated General Christopher Gwabin Musa as the new Minister of Defence.
In a letter to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, President Tinubu conveyed General Musa’s nomination as the successor to Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, who resigned on Monday.
General Musa, 58, on December 25, is a distinguished soldier who served as Chief of Defence Staff from 2023 until October 2025. He won the Colin Powell Award for Soldiering in 2012.
Born in Sokoto in 1967, General Musa received his primary and secondary education there before attending the College of Advanced Studies in Zaria. He graduated in 1986 and enrolled at the Nigerian Defence Academy the same year, earning a Bachelor of Science degree upon graduation in 1991.
General Musa was commissioned into the Nigerian Army as a Second Lieutenant in 1991 and has since had a distinguished career. His appointments include General Staff Officer 1, Training/Operations at HQ 81 Division; Commanding Officer, 73 Battalion; Assistant Director, Operational Requirements, Department of Army Policy and Plans; and Infantry Representative/Member, Training Team, HQ Nigerian Army Armour Corps.
In 2019, he served as Deputy Chief of Staff, Training/Operations, Headquarters Infantry Centre and Corps; Commander, Sector 3, Operation Lafiya Dole; and Commander, Sector 3 Multinational Joint Task Force in the Lake Chad Region.
In 2021, General Musa was appointed Theatre Commander, Operation Hadin Kai. He later became Commander of the Nigerian Army Infantry Corps before being appointed Chief of Defence Staff by President Tinubu in 2023.
In the letter to the Senate, President Tinubu expressed confidence in General Musa’s ability to lead the Ministry of Defence and further strengthen Nigeria’s security architecture.

I didn’t even notice when the tears of joy began to fall. Hearing the story of our beloved Igbo sister, & how she followed her heart into Islam, touched me in a way words can barely hold.
There is a special beauty in a soul choosing its own light, a quiet courage, a peaceful truth.
Today, I celebrate her journey, her bravery, her new beginning.
My tears became joy,
and my joy became a prayer for her.
“In addition to recruitment, there is a need for us to immediately increase the basic salary and welfare of police officers and soldiers, and we must find the money to do that.”
- Hon Bello Elrufai.
I’m pleased to hear that President Tinubu has declared a National Security Emergency. But this must go beyond a symbolic announcement. It should be followed by decisive, sustained action to degrade the repugnant armed groups wreaking havoc across our country.
What we need now is a radical overhaul of our security strategy - one that empowers and mandates our forces to take the fight directly to these terrorists in their enclaves. That is the only way to stop them from attacking our schools, places of worship and other civilian spaces. It is the only path to defeating them.
“The governor of Kebbi said that somebody ordered the troops out, and people were kidnapped. Till today, nobody in Nigeria knows what happened. No questions have been asked, and we are sitting down as parliament, talking and talking, yet somebody is responsible.”
- Sen. Abaribe calls on President Tinubu to set an example by holding the military commander responsible for the withdrawal of troops from a school in Kebbi, where students were kidnapped.
