It rewards self-mastery. Learn to pause even for a few seconds, reclaim authority over yourself.
We've been conditioned to react. From an early age, we're trained to snap back when insulted, to panic when things go wrong, to lash out when hurt, to run away when afraid.
Reactivity is the mind's autopilot. Autopilot never wins. Reactivity comes from fear, ego, and emotion, etc. It creates more chaos than clarity. When you react without thinking, you give away your power.
