Nile Star Bus is in discussions with the Ministry of Works to allow them operate at night. Although daytime operations have resumed, night travel remains suspended for another 90 days. The company says the ban is affecting business as many passengers prefer to travel after work.
Fellow Ugandans, health is more important than wealth. I am encouraged that in the last five days, we have not registered any new Ebola infections and are instead recording recoveries. This shows that the measures we have put in place are working. However, we must remain vigilant. Avoid handshakes, maintain good hygiene, and follow the guidance of our health authorities. We defeated Ebola before, and with discipline and cooperation, we shall defeat it again.
Loss of trust in authorities due to unresolved theft and robbery cases has fueled Mob justice. Sydney Gongondyo may have been mistaken based on appearance and hairstyle, but this tragedy is deeply unfortunate. The woman involved should be investigated for not speaking up!
Today I celebrate not just another year of life, but another year to drive sustainability, fight climate change & empower fellow youths. Grateful to the amazing teams at Waka Photography, BTBT Media, our partners & friends worldwide who are part.
Happy Green Birthday to me! π
πThe Rains are back and it's time we put some smiles on our communities by planting More Trees. I'm determined to make it happen and I'm THRILLED to represent at the #GYCS2025 Summit - LET'S GO!
Another Exciting Update!
π¨ I've officially joined the #GYCS2025 Social Media Contest running for 10 DAYS from Today ahead of the Summit! To win, I need your help! Please engage with my posts by doing the below:
π―The top 3 most engaged posts will win USD 100 each! If we win, this will help us support our grassroots advocacy works focusing on environmental education, awareness, community-led conservation initiatives like Massive Tree Planting and climate action campaigns!
π I strongly believe it's imperative for us to raise our voices, especially as young people, to demand action on environmental issues! Many youth voices are marginalized, ignored or dismissed, but I'm convinced our collective voices can bring about transformative change! #GYLC
