"Creatively defining and measuring success" - empowering teams, facilitating workshops, coaching, supporting grant projects, and building evaluation capacity
What museum programs that emphasize inquiry-based teaching and learning practices do you recommend for my CUNY graduate students to observe? Looking for in-person (in NYC area) or virtual. Many thanks!
@katebcarp Yes, reach out and keep it an easy conversation. Most folks will be happy to do it and share about their work and experiences. I know I would if I were in the position.
The best content warnings I've seen in museums:
1. Give a detailed description of what to expect in the gallery
2. Avoid making assumptions about who the content is or is not for
3. Offer alternative routes should they wish to avoid it
Museum leaders, do you know that the three workers left at your org are online at 10pm begging for free professional development resources because they've been asked to magically turn into web designers and filmmakers?
@mamileham Ugh, I just had a conversation about this last night. The potential is there they just have to take the time, but I see so many orgs falling back on what was with reactive (not responsive) changes.
@AbsLovesMuseums This is another of my greatest fears with reopenings...policies and people first commitment is essential esp now as folks come out of our 'stays at home' but I am hearing more and more that these policies are not in place.
